Internships

About

Through our annual internships, Chamber Made fosters the development of students, emerging and early career artists and arts workers, providing vital pathways into Australia's performing arts sector and supporting the next generation of creative practitioners.

We welcome undergraduate and postgraduate students from various institutions, as well as emerging artists who benefit from opportunities to shadow our lead collaborating artists.

IN THE ROOM INTERNSHIPS

For each new work in development, Chamber Made offers an 'in the room' internship to undergraduate students studying dramaturgy, directing, interactive composition, sound design, or production. These hands-on internships provide budding artists and arts workers with insights into our unique collaborative cross-artform processes, working alongside some of Victoria's most accomplished artists.

'I have loved being a part of the room with you all and have learnt so much in my time there! I really appreciate all of the effort you went to include me in the development process, and the agency I had in the room. The skill of the creatives, the energy in the room and the work that was being created were all really inspiring.'

Kaitlyn Crocker, NIDA Production & Sound Design student

HQ INTERNSHIPS

Chamber Made offers internships to arts administration and cultural management students, providing opportunities to participate in and contribute to the day-to-day operations of the company.

These internships offer practical experience in marketing, CRM management, producing, and other essential functions, giving interns valuable insight into how small to medium arts organisations operate within Australia's performing arts sector.

'Interning with Chamber Made was a wonderful introduction to the workings of a performing arts organisation. The team was welcoming and supportive and generously gave me the freedom to lead a project. This has equipped me with invaluable skills and boosted my passion for working in the arts. It is truly worth sending through an email and seeing what is possible!'

Helena Jones, University of Melbourne Masters of Arts & Cultural Management student
