About
Hi-Viz Satellites 20224-2024 was an international program exploring new spaces, practices, and modes of making in contemporary performance.
As an offshoot of the Hi-Viz Satellites program, the LABs brought together 17 women and gender diverse artists from Australia, Singapore and Taiwan through two intensives in 2023 and 2024.
The 2023 LAB took place across 5 days in Naarm/Melbourne and was hosted by University of Melbourne.
The 2024 LAB was a 9-day intensive that took place among the clouds and Snow Gums of Gunaikurnia and Taungurung Country on Mt Hotham.
This collaborative laboratory created space for artists to experiment, learn from diverse cultural perspectives, and develop new ways of working across disciplines and borders.
The LAB program produced in partnership with Punctum Inc and SAthecollective reflects our commitment to international artistic dialogue and the transformative potential of cross-cultural creative exchange.
