A negative B&W image of a woman in distress

About

Claudia has resolved to gorge herself to gigantic proportions, and finally death, on sweets. Through her journey, we hear Claudia’s voice grow, abominate, triumph and directly challenge its immediate musical and social restrictions.

Adapted from the novel ‘Une Morte Sucree’ by Claude Tardat.

Sweet Death was commissioned by Chamber Made with assistance from the Performing Arts Board (ComposerCommission) and the Literature Board (Writer’s Fellowship) of the Australia Council.
