2022 Orange House artist resident, Zoë Barry used her time at the Orange House to begin creating a new live work in collaboration with dramaturg/director Sarah Giles and composer/sound designer Jed Palmer. Drawing together live looped text, slow through-composed music, verbatim recordings, cinematic sound design and lip-synced performance with live strings they explored ways for a voice to leave a body, return to it, and pass through other bodies—and all that might mean.
'It was a perfect balance of feeling that my ideas were being supported, and there was time and space to explore them without interruption. I got more done than I thought I would, and the work took on a form of its own which surprised and intrigued me, and I am looking forward to the next stage of realising it.' Zoë Barry
