Little Operations: Rebecca Bracewell

As part of Little Operations, sound artist Rebecca Bracewell developed Instruments that Listen, a work which employed hearing aids as sound making devices.

Arising from her experience with hearing loss, the project investigated what it means to listen imperfectly and with a reliance on hearing technology. This Little Operations residency allowed Bracewell to investigate the specific sound world of each hearing aid and create ways of sharing these intimate sonic landscapes with others in live performance.

This work was developed in dialogue with artists from Chamber Made and the Australian Art Orchestra.

This Little Operations was presented at Queen Victoria Women's Centre.
