Little Operations: Margaret Meran Trail

In 2016, Margaret Meran Trail with collaborators Carolyn Connors and Chris Lewis developed Conservatory Conservatory as part of Little Operations—a performance-ritual addressing plant-life at the Fitzroy Conservatory, re-imagined as The Embassy of Flowers.

In a spirit of mutual-mystification, humans indicated their respect for plant-life through sonic vibration and symbolic gesture, taking the form of a structured improvisation in percussion, voice and electronic samples, while flowers graciously received these diplomatic gestures.
